One of the most awaited features of 2018 is under display fingerprint sensor and the first phone to have the feature is Vivo X20 plus UD. It is basically Vivo X20 Plus with no figerprint on the back but under display. It was showcased at the CES 2018 held earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Today it has been officially announced in China.
Pricing and availability details are yet to know. The Vivo X20 Plus UD is using the lastest Syneptics Clear ID FS9500 sensor. Apart from Vivo, no other mobile manufacturers have announced usage of under display fingerprint sensors.
While Vivo had launched to smartphones last in X20 segment, the Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus, the under display fingerprint sensor is only going to available in larger variant. Vivo had made some to the Funtouch OS to show the fingerprint pattern in the display, so that user can places his finger above the sensor area.
Now, about the specs of Vivo X20 Plus UD, it has nothing different than Vivo X20 Plus. Runs of Android OS, v7.1(Nougat) with Funtouch OS. It has 6.43 inch FullView AMOLED display with FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage with an expandalble option upto 256GB with a microSD slot. And ofcourse the Camera, it has 24MP + 5MP dual rear cameras and a 24MP front facing camera. The Smartphone has 3800 mah battery.
The pricing of the device is yet to be announced but according to the previous leks, it will roughly around CNY 3,999(approx ₹40,000). Stay tuned.
